Several events at SXSW Interactive 2013 exclusively featured companies which obtained the .co domain name suffix.
Amongst those companies using the .co domain name at SXSW were:
- FoodCrawl.co, celebrating a ‘Food Crawl’ in downtown Austin;
- ArtistsHack.co, a ‘hackathon’ dedicated to the future of music, art, video and “collaborative thought” during SXSW;
- vine.co, for sharing favourite SXSW moments via videos, Tweets and pictures; and
- WahWah.co, a ‘Beer Run’ highlighting dozens of people running and listening to the same music on their headphones at the same time, to celebrate the launch of a new app.
SXSW is a set of film, interactive and music festivals and conferences that take place annually in Austin, Texas. In recent years it has become an important event in the Startup calendar, having introduced companies such as Twitter and Foursquare to the tech community.
